Description

Schizantherin B is a natural compound that has been shown to inhibit the activities of multiple drug transporters in vitro and in vivo. It binds to the enzyme ATP-binding cassette transporter A1, which is involved in transporting drugs from blood into cells. The binding of Schizantherin B to this transporter prevents it from functioning, leading to neuronal death.
