Description

Sodium hydroxymethanesulfinate is a glycol ester that is used in wastewater treatment. It is an environmentally friendly chemical that does not contain any heavy metals or other toxic materials. Sodium hydroxymethanesulfinate reacts with water vapor to produce formaldehyde and hydrogen sulfide gas, which are then removed from the solution by condensation.
