Product Information
Resolvin E1sodium salt is a small-molecule drug that is formed from the resolution of pro-resolving mediators, such as resolvins and protectins. These molecules are synthesized in inflammatory cells and act to inhibit inflammation by regulating the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines, chemokines, and adhesion molecules. Resolvin E1sodium salt has been shown to be an anti-inflammatory cytokine, IL-10, which is produced by regulatory T cells. It also inhibits the production of inflammatory chemokines and adhesion molecules by inhibiting transcriptional activation of NF-κB. Resolvin E1sodium salt has been shown to have therapeutic effects against bowel disease, opportunistic fungal infections, and atherosclerotic lesions in animal models.
