Description:Sodium ferulate is a natural phenolic compound that belongs to the group of dietary antioxidants. It has been shown to inhibit the apoptosis pathway in cells, which may be due to its ability to induce DNA fragmentation and activate the caspase-3 enzyme. Sodium ferulate also has anti-inflammatory effects and has been shown to reduce bowel disease rates in rats.
