Styrene allyl alcohol copolymer is a reaction product that is made from styrene and allyl alcohol. It is a cross-linking agent for polymers, which increases the viscosity of the polymer film and enhances its stability. Styrene allyl alcohol copolymer also has reactive properties with hydroxyl groups and hydroxy groups, which can be activated by radiation or cationic surfactants. It is insoluble in organic solvents such as ethers, esters, ketones, chlorinated hydrocarbons, aromatic hydrocarbons, or halogenated hydrocarbons.
