Sulfamic acid is a sulfonamide that can be used as an industrial coagulant. It is also used to stabilize metal ions and can be used in the treatment of wastewater. Sulfamic acid has a chelate ring structure, which binds to metals such as iron and aluminum, making them insoluble.
