Description:The trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) is a chemical that belongs to the group of organic compounds called carboxylic acids. It has been widely used in organic synthesis, as well as in photography and medicine. TFA is also used to make sodium benzenesulphinate - anhydrous (SBAS). SBAS inhibits the activity of an enzyme called glutathione reductase, which is involved in the production of reactive oxygen species. This inhibition prevents inflammation-related tissue damage, thereby providing relief for diabetic neuropathy.
