Product Information

Name:
Sinapine thiocyanate
Synonyms:
  • 4-Hydroxy-3,5-dimethoxycinnamate choline thiocyanate
Description:

Sinapine is a bioactive phenolic compound, which is extracted from plant sources and purified by an optimum extraction process. It has been shown to have antioxidative properties, as it was able to inhibit lipid peroxidation induced by trifluoroacetic acid. Sinapine thiocyanate can be used in the analytical method of sinapine, using fluorescence probe for detection and polymerase chain reaction for amplification. Sinapine thiocyanate also has the ability to inhibit the growth factor-β1 (GF-β1) in human vascular smooth muscle cells.
Sinapine thiocyanate is also known to have antihypertensive effects on blood pressure, with a reduction of systolic pressure by up to 11%.
