Product Information

Name:
Scutellarin methylester
Description:

Scutellarin is an apoptotic agent that can attenuate or inhibit the reaction of cells to harmful stimuli. It has also been shown to have reactive properties and breviscapine, a pharmacokinetic property. Scutellarin methylester is able to increase the uptake of health-care products in caco-2 cells, which may be due to its energy metabolism effects. Studies on the mitochondrial function of scutellarin have shown that it can protect cells from oxidative damage by inhibiting lipid peroxidation, preventing increases in malondialdehyde levels, and reducing cell death. Scutellarin methylester can also act as a neuroprotective agent by suppressing the release of glutamate and increasing ATP production in neurons.
