Sodium 2-[[3-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]amino]benzoate (TFPB) is a synthetic substrate that has been used in the synthesis of microcapsules. TFPB is soluble in water, which allows it to be administered orally and provides a non-toxic environment for the release of protein drugs. TFPB is also able to bind with receptors on polymorphonuclear leucocytes and can be used as an adjuvant therapy in women.
