Description:H-D-Tyr-Val-Gly-OH is a catalyst that is used in the synthesis of phenylhydrazones. It catalyses the condensation of an aromatic aldehyde and hydrazine, which leads to the formation of a phenylhydrazone. The reaction occurs at neutral pH and high temperature. H-D-Tyr-Val-Gly-OH has been shown to inhibit protein synthesis in rat liver cells, with its inhibitory effect increasing with increased pH.
