• Description: 5-(2-Thienyl)-1H-pyrazole is a chemical inhibitor that binds to the active site of human liver cytochrome P450 and prevents the activation of hydrophobic drugs. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells in vitro by inhibiting enzymes that are involved in the synthesis of DNA, RNA, and proteins. 5-(2-Thienyl)-1H-pyrazole also inhibits reticulum endoplasmic reticular (ER) ATPase, which is responsible for ER protein transport, and can be used as a technique to study ER function.
