2,3,4-Trimethoxyacetophenone is a naturally occurring compound that has been shown to have a synergistic effect with eugenol and other antifungals. It can be produced from the oxidation of 2,3,4-trimethoxyphenol by using a magnetic field as an oxidant in supercritical CO2. The synthesized product can be used as a fungicide for apple trees and grape vines. This natural compound has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects and inhibitory effects on the growth of cancer cells.
