Product Information
Tris(2,2,2-trifluoroethyl) borate (TTBF) is a chemical compound that is used in organic synthesis as an amide or solvent. TTBF has been shown to minimize the thermodynamic and electrochemical differences between amides and solvents. The coulombic interactions between the amide and solvents have been studied using aldimines as an intermediate. TTBF can also be used to prepare carbonyls from amines and acetaldehyde. Tris(2,2,2-trifluoroethyl) borate is flammable and should be handled with care.
