Product Information
2,2,2-Trichloroethylchloroformate is a chlorinating agent that is used in the synthesis of taxol. It has been shown to be a potent inducer of Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4). TLR4 is an immune system protein that recognizes bacteria and activates the inflammatory response. 2,2,2-Trichloroethylchloroformate has also been shown to be an effective treatment for bowel disease and can be used as a h1 antagonist. The chemical also has analytical applications in wastewater treatment and infectious diseases. The compound has been found to induce nuclear DNA damage in human serum cells in vitro. 2,2,2-Trichloroethylchloroformate can be synthesized by palladium-catalyzed coupling with chlorogenic acids and its derivatives. This chemical is also able to inhibit the growth of human cancer cells in vitro.
