Description

Tricaprylin is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug that inhibits the production of prostaglandins and thromboxanes. It has been shown to have long-term toxicity, with chronic oral administration in rats. Tricaprylin's mechanism of action is not fully understood, but it has been shown to inhibit the activity of several enzymes, including those involved in energy metabolism. Tricaprylin has also been shown to be carcinogenic in mice and rats, although this effect has not been observed in humans.
