Triethoxyarsine is an organic solvent that has functional groups, including a triethyl group and an arsine group. It is used for patterning, reaction products, and hydrogen chloride gas sensor. Triethoxyarsine can be used to form a chloroarsine compound with hydrogen chloride in the presence of ethyl alcohol. This compound is used as an oxidation catalyst for the conversion of organometallic compounds to reactive species. Reaction rates are increased because this catalyst is more active than silver nitrate or copper sulfate. Triethoxyarsine also reacts with silicon to form silicon derivatives such as silane.
