Tris(2-methoxyethyl)orthoborate (TMEO) is a molecule that is expressed on the surface of a diode to form coatings. TMEO can be used as an organic solvent, hydrolysate, or inorganic reagent. The ligands on TMEO are able to bind with silicon, which can be patterned in order to control the properties of the material.
