Tetramethylol acetylenediurea is an aromatic hydrocarbon that has a variety of applications in chemistry. It can be used to make polymers, or it can be mixed with potassium dichromate and used as a cross-linking agent to produce polymer films. Tetramethylol acetylenediurea also has clinical relevance because it is a reactive substance that has been shown to cause allergic reactions. Tetramethylol acetylenediurea reacts with naphthalene to form the organic solution chloride.
