Product Information
- Stannane, tributylethynyl-
- Tributyl(ethynyl)stannane
Tributylethynylstannane is a cross-linking agent that reacts with polymers to form covalent bonds. It is used in the synthesis of polymers for use as adhesives, sealants, and coatings. Tributylethynylstannane reacts with polymers by nucleophilic substitution at the hydroxyl group or halide atom. This reaction mechanism leads to the formation of cross-links between polymer chains, which are required for these materials to be tough and elastic. Tributylethynylstannane can also react with α7 nicotinic acetylcholine receptors on neurons to produce inflammatory diseases such as Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease.
