Description:
Trimethyl orthobutyrate is a heterocycle that is used in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals. It is synthesized by reacting trimethyl orthoformate with hydrochloric acid. Trimethyl orthobutyrate has been shown to inhibit 3t3-l1 preadipocytes proliferation, which may be due to its ability to bind with the receptor and inhibit protein synthesis.
