Description:

Thiomorpholine-1,1-dioxide HCl is a modifier of bile acid transport. It inhibits the apical uptake of bile acids in the intestine and reduces serum bile acid levels. Thiomorpholine-1,1-dioxide HCl also has hypotensive effects and is used to treat pediatric cholestatic liver diseases. This drug may cause anesthetic effects in animals that are anesthetized. Thiomorpholine-1,1-dioxide HCl has structural formula GH2N2O2S. Its chemical name is 1H-thioxoimidazolidine-3,5 dione monohydrochloride.
