Description:
2-(TriMethylsilyl)benzo[d]thiazole is a heterocycle that can be obtained by reacting benzothiazole with trimethylsilyl chloride. It is a solvent, which can be used in organic synthesis as a heterocyclic reagent. 2-(TriMethylsilyl)benzo[d]thiazole reacts with electrophiles such as alkyl halides to form substituted benzo[d]thiazoles. This reaction is catalyzed by ionic liquids and heteroatom-containing solvents such as N,N'-dimethylformamide. 2-(TriMethylsilyl)benzo[d]thiazole has five-membered rings and contains nitrogen and heteroatoms in its structure.
