Description

S-(Thiobenzoyl)thioglycolic acid is a gel permeation chromatography stationary phase that has been shown to be useful for the separation and analysis of proteins, polypeptides, amino acids, and other substances. It has a high molecular weight and good stability in water. S-(Thiobenzoyl)thioglycolic acid can be used as a control agent for protein denaturation studies or to study the stability of proteins in solutions with different pH levels. The compound has also been shown to inhibit the growth of cells in culture and may have antitumour properties.
