This drug also has antihypertensive effects due to its ability to block the action of angiotensin II receptors. The biological properties of 1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinoline are due largely to its ability to act as an antagonist at dopamine D2 receptors and inhibit adenylate cyclase activity.
