Description:TAE Buffer 50X is a solution that is prepared with Tris-Acetic Acid-EDTA (TAE) buffer. TAE buffer is used for RNA extraction, PCR, and other molecular biology applications. TAE buffer contains Tris and Acetic acid as well as EDTA. The pH of the solution should be adjusted to 7.4 with lye or NaOH before use. TAE buffer can also be used in electrophoresis gels for DNA and RNA sample preparation. The endpoints of this buffer are pH 7.0-8.5 and the counterion is usually a sodium ion.
