The compound has electrophilic, electropositive, and nucleophilic properties and can undergo nucleophilic attack. 5-(Tributylstannyl)thiazole reacts with vitamin B1 to produce an oxidative reaction. As a result, it can be used as an antioxidant in food. This compound also has electron donating properties and is electronegative.
