Description:Tris(2-chloroethyl) amine hydrochloride (TCEA) is a purine derivative that has been shown to be an effective chemotherapy agent. It binds to the phospholipids in cell membranes, denaturing and degrading them. TCEA also inhibits the growth of subcutaneous tumors in mice by destroying their blood supply. TCEA can be used for the treatment of inflammatory diseases or cancer. The mechanism of action of this drug is not fully understood, but it may be due to its ability to inhibit the synthesis of 2-aminoisobutyric acid (2-AA).
