Tamarixetin-7-O-rutinoside (TAR) is a marker of apigenin and tamarixetin, which are flavonoids found in plants. TAR is used as a marker for the identification of phenolic compounds in the reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) profile. It has been identified as a diode that can be used to diagnose Alzheimer's disease. The regression model was found to be useful for predicting the concentrations of TAR and apigenin in the electrospray ionization (ESI) profile. There is also evidence that TAR can reverse the effects of oxidative stress on cells by inhibiting protein synthesis and cell division.
