Product Information
This extract contains 3,7,8,4'-tetrahydroxyflavone (THF), which is a bioactive compound that has been shown to inhibit platelet activation and aggregation. THF has been shown to inhibit the glycoprotein IIb/IIIa receptor and membrane-bound glycoprotein Iba1. This inhibition prevents the binding of the blood coagulation factor II to glycoproteins on activated platelets, inhibiting their activation and aggregation. The active compound in this extract also causes dose-dependent inhibition of platelet activation and aggregation. In addition, this extract contains pentagalloylglucose, which has also been shown to have antiplatelet activity.
