Product Information
Tenuifoliside C is a template molecule that has the chemical structures of a hydroxyl group, cross-linking agent, and matrix effect. It is used to generate polymerase chain reaction (PCR) templates for DNA amplification. Tenuifoliside C can be extracted from human liver tissue and can be used as an inhibitor of bacterial growth, especially in Mycobacterium tuberculosis strains. Tenuifoliside C has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of Mycobacterium tuberculosis by inhibiting the synthesis of dna and protein. An analytical method based on LC-MS/MS was developed to identify tenuifoliside C in complex matrices such as human serum or plasma. This method has been used to detect tenuifoliside C in patient samples with active mycobacterial infections.
