Product Information
- Tris(1-Methylethyl)(Prop-1-Yn-1-Yl)Silane
- 1-Triisopropylsilyl-1-propyne
1-(Triisopropylsilyl)-1-propyne is a congener that is formed by the reaction of allene and propyne with sodium metal. It has been shown to react with nucleophiles such as tetracyclic indoline, 2-bromoindole, and 1,2-dibromobenzene to form substituted 1,3-dienes. The crystal structure of 1-(triisopropylsilyl)-1-propyne has been determined using X-ray crystallography. The molecule has two conformations: one in which the three silyl groups are in a coplanar arrangement and the other in which they are staggered. The crystal data for both conformations have been collected and analyzed at the Bruker diffractometer at the radiation wavelength of 0.914 Å (532 nm).
