    Description:C.I.Vat green 1 is a reactive dye that belongs to the group of polycarboxylic acid dyes. It is used as an indicator in the titration of borohydride reduction, and can be used as a polymerization initiator for the synthesis of polymers containing ethyl groups. C.I. Vat green 1 has been found to have photocatalytic activity when exposed to ultraviolet radiation or visible light. The dye is also able to reduce fatty acids and neutralize acidic environments by reacting with hydrogen ions, and has been shown to react with polymorphonuclear leucocytes to produce free radicals, which are involved in the body's inflammatory response.
