Product Information
Wushanicaritin is a flavonoid that can be found in the bark of the tree "Pterocarpus soyauxii". It has been shown to have anti-cancer properties as it was able to inhibit the growth of tumor cells in vitro. It also has prenyl groups that are responsible for its anti-HIV activity, which may be due to its ability to inhibit cellular proliferation and increase cell death. Wushanicaritin has been shown to inhibit human UDP-glucuronosyltransferase, an enzyme involved in glucuronidation and drug metabolism. This inhibition leads to increased plasma drug concentrations and decreased plasma clearance. Wushanicaritin also has antifungal effects against Candida albicans, which may be due to its ability to inhibit protein synthesis and induce cell death.
