Description:XtalFluor-E is a perfluorinated, n-oxide, aziridine, allylation, fluorine-containing compound that inhibits the amine oxidase reaction. This inhibition may be due to its ability to occupy the active site of the enzyme and react with the amine substrate. XtalFluor-E has been shown to inhibit the iodination reaction in which iodide ion reacts with an amine substrate. XtalFluor-E has also been shown to control for stereoselective reactions by using control experiments.
