Yttrium(III) Trifluoromethanesulfonate Hydrate is a compound with the chemical formula Y(CF3SO3)3. It is a salt of yttrium trifluoromethanesulfonate, which is an inorganic compound that has the appearance of a white powder. This compound is used for the preparation of carbonyl complexes and other metal derivatives. Yttrium(III) Trifluoromethanesulfonate Hydrate can be produced by copolymerizing aluminum oxide and monomers containing hydroxyl groups or methoxy groups. It can also be prepared by hydrolyzing yttrium trioxide with hydrogen fluoride to produce hydrogen gas and yttria (YO).
