Description

Zeolite is a group of aluminosilicate minerals that have a porous structure. They are used in water treatment, such as wastewater treatment and air purification. Zeolites are also used to absorb toxic gases, such as ammonia and chlorine. Zeolite can be synthesized by heating sodium citrate with zirconium oxide. The zeolite's high surface area makes it an effective adsorbent for gases, liquids, and other materials from the environment. Zeolites are chemically stable and do not react with most substances, making them ideal for use in chemical reactions or biological studies. In addition to these properties, zeolites have been shown to be nontoxic to humans.
