Zinc glycinate binds to picolinic acid (a metabolite of tryptophan) and inhibits mitochondrial membrane potential. Structural analysis shows that zinc glycinate has a molecular weight of 196.2 g/mol and an empirical formula of C9H12N2O6Zn.
