Methyl N-cyanobenzimidate is a synthetic spirodienone analog that has been shown to have anticancer activity in vitro. It exhibits cytotoxic activity by inducing apoptosis in MDA-MB-231 cells. The acute toxicity of methyl N-cyanobenzimidate has been examined in mice, and it has shown no signs of toxicity at doses up to 5,000 mg/kg body weight. This drug also exhibits antineoplastic properties and may be a potential anticancer agent. Methyl N-cyanobenzimidate inhibits the growth of tumors by interfering with their cycle and inhibiting the synthesis of DNA and proteins.
