- γ-Lumicolchicine
γ-Lumi (-)-colchicine is a cytotoxic agent that inhibits the activity of the sphingosine-2-phosphate receptor (SP2). It has been used to treat various types of cancer, including mesenchyme cells and leukemia. γ-Lumi (-)-colchicine binds to the 2-adrenergic receptor (AR) in the cytosol, which leads to increased levels of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) and decreased levels of intracellular calcium ions (Ca2+), leading to cell death. γ-Lumi (-)-colchicine has been shown to have clinical relevance in tissue culture experiments.
