Description

Raucaffricine is a monoterpenoid indole alkaloid that has been shown to have strong antioxidant properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the production of reactive oxygen species. Raucaffricine has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties and can be used for the treatment of autoimmune diseases. The enzyme substrates of this compound are glycan and nuclear DNA, which are involved in cell growth and differentiation. It also inhibits enzymes that are responsible for inflammatory diseases. Raucaffricine is active at a pH between 6 and 10.
