O-Tritylhydroxylamine is a synthetic compound that is used as a reagent in organic synthesis. It is a hydrogen-bond donor and nitrogen nucleophile with the ability to form stable complexes with magnesium salts. O-Tritylhydroxylamine has been shown to inhibit leukemia cells by acting as an inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) activity, which prevents cancer cell invasion and metastasis. This compound has also been used in clinical studies for the treatment of infectious diseases such as pneumonia, tuberculosis, and malaria. The scalable synthesis of this molecule has been achieved using palladium complexes.
