Description:Magnesium carbonate hydroxide pentahydrate is a form of magnesium carbonate that has a particle size between 1 and 10 micrometers. It is insoluble in water, but dissolves in an alkaline solution to form magnesium bicarbonate. Magnesium carbonate hydroxide pentahydrate reacts with inorganic acids such as hydrochloric acid and sulphuric acid to release protons, which are necessary for the activation of toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4). This activates immune reactions and triggers the release of cytokines. In addition, it can be used as a biological marker for cervical cancer.
