Description:
Panaxynol is an active compound that belongs to the group of polyphenols. It has been shown to inhibit nuclear DNA synthesis in human leukemic HL-60 cells. This inhibition is due to its ability to bind with the dextran sulfate moiety of DNA, thereby preventing DNA synthesis. Panaxynol also has antibacterial efficacy against gram-positive bacteria and significant cytotoxic effects on HL-60 cells.
