Product Information
Methyl 2-(4-iodophenoxy)acetate (MIAPA) is a nitrophenolate that inhibits the growth of insects. It is a white crystalline powder and has a melting point of 170°C. MIAPA was shown to be active against the larvae of the insect pests Mecoptera, Thysanoptera, and Dermaptera, as well as against the fungus Metarhizium anisopliae. This compound is used for controlling agricultural pests such as aphids, leafhoppers, thrips, and other insects that feed on plants or crops.
