Description:AS 101 is a mixture of polyunsaturated fatty acids that are produced by the hydrolysis of vegetable oils and animal fats. The product is used to produce supernatants for use in cancer research. AS 101 has been shown to inhibit tumor growth, as well as inhibit HIV infection in vitro. The mechanism of action is not yet known, but it may be due to its ability to increase IL-10 production and transcriptional activity in mononuclear cells.
