Description:

GYY 4137 is a cyclase inhibitor that binds to the DNA polymerase, preventing the creation of new strands and inhibiting transcription. It also has anti-inflammatory effects by reducing IL-10 production. GYY 4137 has been shown to have strong inhibitory effects on growth factor-β1, which is a cytokine that can cause bowel disease. In addition, GYY 4137 prevents sulfide from being produced in cells and inhibits the activity of enzymes involved in energy metabolism. GYY 4137 does not affect mitochondrial membrane potential or Toll-like receptor expression.
