Panulisib binds to the toll-like receptor 7 (TLR7) and prevents it from activating downstream signaling pathways, which may be due to its ability to inhibit endothelial cell proliferation. The drug also shows some activity against hepatitis B virus-induced hepatitis in preclinical studies. In addition, panulisib inhibits growth factor signaling pathways and suppresses tumorigenesis by inhibiting the downstream effects of angiogenesis.
