Product Information
Cycloparaphenylene (CPA) is a cyclic, unsolvated, minimally interacting electron donor-acceptor compound. It has been shown to have magnetic properties and can be isolated in high yield with the use of a strain. CPA has also been observed to exhibit photophysical properties and x-ray diffraction study that are characteristic of supramolecular chemistry. The functional theory of CPA has been studied by proton NMR spectroscopy, which provides insight into the interaction between CPA and gold nanoparticles.
