AT7867 binds to AChE and prevents it from breaking down acetylcholine. Imaging can be done by attaching a radiolabeled molecule to AT7867 such that it can be visualized by positron emission tomography or single photon emission computed tomography. Superimposition can be achieved by attaching a fluorescent molecule to AT7867 such that it can be observed under ultraviolet light.
